My very first lesson in color. A well worn classic illustrated by Alice and Martin Provensen who wrote and illustrated over 50 books. Martin also designed Tony the Tiger for Kellogg’s in 1952. Ah… Frosted Flakes—my all time favorite cereal growing up. It made my dentist a rich man.

Ah Spring… time to polish up those toes and let them out to play. Amid the sea of sky-high heels we are seeing a proliferation of wonderful wedges. A slightly more stable option for those less adept at walking on stilts.
Design Inspiration: A fascination with vintage flatware makes it’s way to the modern table. Our damask placemat for modern-twist. Gone are the golden (or more aptly silver) days of lemon forks and sardine tongs. Really, a fork just for lemons?
Fashion Friday: It must be genetic. Another little treasure from the sketchbook of my mother who oddly has no memory of her brief foray into fashion. In her defense, the 50s were awhile ago.
